Krystyna M. Blakeslee is a partner in Dechert’s finance and real estate group. Ms. Blakeslee focuses her practice in commercial real estate finance and investment with concentrations in the origination, acquisition and disposition (including securitization and syndication) of mortgage loans, mezzanine financings and subordinate debt, post-closing modifications and loan sales and purchases. She has experience with data center, retail, office, hospitality, and condominium properties, as well as construction financing, TIC structures and ground lease transactions. Finally, Ms. Blakeslee has experience in joint venture investments and acquisitions of real estate assets, including hotels, assisted living properties, and advises funds in connection with their investment and financing activities in real estate.

In addition, Ms. Blakeslee has experience in restructuring and workout of complex distressed-debt structures. She has represented a number of investment banks, life insurance companies, commercial banks, institutional investors, loan servicers, joint ventures and private equity funds. Ms. Blakeslee sits on the editorial board of the CRE Finance Council and is co-managing editor for CREFC Finance World™. She is also a contributor to Dechert’s finance and real estate blog, Crunched Credit. From 2002-2009, Mr. Adler was Chief Property Operations Officer at AIMCO (NYSE: AIV, S&P 500), leading the revitalization of the operating platform of more than 160,000 multifamily units ($10B Enterprise Market value), where he also co-founded AIMCO’s portfolio investment, asset management and capital markets strategies.
From 2009-2014, Mr. Adler formed a consulting firm and acted as CEO/COO for several sponsor and investor platforms in the US value-add, student, military, senior, single-family, and Canadian rental housing industries. During this time, he executed investment and asset management strategies and private market equity and debt capital raises. Fund and platform sizes ranged from $200MM to $3B in value.
From 1990 to 2000 Mr. Adler was a Vice President at Progressive Insurance, developing the Progressive consumer brand, establishing the corporate marketing department, and then running the Colorado business unit, growing it profitably from $10MM to $100MM in revenues.
As a Managing Director of Capital Markets, Cord Ernst oversees investor relations, fund management and venture structuring for European and Middle Eastern investors. Prior to joining Magnolia Mr. Ernst co-founded Wafra Residential Value Invest, a US-based real estate platform specifically designed for German institutional investors.
