Throughout her twenty year career, Lea has focused on various aspects of the CMBS market; including senior roles on the sell-side, buy-side and at a rating agency.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2018, Lea oversaw CMBS Analytics and Research at Morningstar Credit Ratings. Between 2010 and 2016, she headed CMBS research at Nomura Securities, where she also covered Consumer ABS Research from 2014 to 2016. Before joining Nomura, Lea was a credit analyst within the CMBS investments group at BNY Mellon. Early in her career, she was a member of the CMBS Strategy team at Banc of America Securities.
Lea holds a master’s degree mathematics and completed coursework towards a Ph. D. in mathematics from Vanderbilt University. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to joining FirstKey in 2013, Mr. Reiff was a Managing Director and Head of CRE Finance and CMBS Trading at Macquarie Investments US, a subsidiary of the Macquarie Group, where he oversaw the invest Macquarie’s capital in commercial real estate lending, debt investment and securities investment and trading opportunities globally.
Mr. Reiff and his team joined Macquarie in 2010 to facilitate the firm’s entry into U.S. commercial real estate lending and debt investing.
Previously, Mr. Reiff was a Managing Director and Global Head of CRE Finance and CMBS at J.P. Morgan, where he was responsible for all of J.P. Morgan’s global principal commercial real estate finance and lending activities both for balance sheet and for distribution as well as all CMBS trading activities globally.
Mr. Reiff joined J.P. Morgan following its acquisition of Bear Stearns, where he was a Senior Managing Director and Global Co-Head of CRE Finance and CMBS, having similar responsibilities. Before joining Bear Stearns in 1995, Mr. Reiff worked at Citicorp Securities’ in the Secondary Mortgage Finance Division, where he was responsible for distressed debt asset management and trading. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and East Asian Studies from New York University.

Mr. Briner started his real estate career in 1997 when he made his first multifamily real estate investment. He then joined MacFarlan Capital Partners, an institutional private equity real estate firm, where he was a Director.
After years in private equity, Mr. Briner moved to New York City as a senior investment banker at Deutsche Bank, where he served on the private equity real estate team, as well as the new business underwriting committee.
Over his years in investment banking, he has participated in traditional public market capitalizations and executions, real estate mergers and acquisitions and workout and restructuring assignments. During his real estate career, Mr. Briner has had significant institutional experience on both the principal investment and investment banking side. Mr. Briner has also served as an owner, lender, operator, sponsor and equity partner.
Prior to Mr. Briner’s real estate career, he served in several political positions on both the state and federal level. Mr. Briner holds a BS with honors from Texas Tech and an MBA in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
